If you read my articles on this site, then you will often see me talking about many different types of soundproofing solutions. In addition to talking about products, I also provide you with many different tips and tricks in order to help you get a better solution as well as a good understanding of what you can expect.
Nonetheless, in the midst of all these. I have realized that at times I tend to miss the rather smaller issues and questions of soundproofing. For example, you do not necessarily need to buy huge and expensive acoustic foam panels in order to soundproof a room or your personal space. Soundproofing is all about identifying the small things and fixing them gradually.
One of the main reasons why your room doesn’t get fully soundproofed, no matter what you do is because there are gaps and leaks somewhere. It can be the doors, a broken window, a broken wall, broken furniture. As well as your ceiling. There can be gaps and leaks everywhere around the house. So what do you do to solve this slight crisis?
Well, the very first thing that you shouldn’t do is get something that might be very effective for soundproofing. But you won’t ever need. If you have identified the little gap or leak that has been penetrating noise and causing you problems. And you want something to shut them up. Then using the best soundproof tape for the door will be your best solution. As doors are one of the main things that make unnecessary noise enter your room.

If you have read my previous article on soundproofing mats then you will know that Dynamat is a very well known and good soundproofing material. However, when it comes to using it on doors, Dynamat isn’t the ideal solution. Rather what you can do here is use the Dynamat 13100 1-1/2″ Wide and 30′ Long DynaTape Sound Deadener. This is pretty much the tape version of the classic Dynamat itself. Keeping the soundproofing capabilities intact from its mat cousin. You can get this in a pack of 1, 2 and 10. Depending on the size of your door and how many doors you are looking to soundproof. With the product itself, you will get only the tape roll. And that is pretty much all you will need to seal the gaps on your door.

In addition, you would also not need to worry about it getting worn out. As the glue on it is top notch.

NOT YOUR ORDINARY TAPE:
Using tape to soundproof a door is nothing new. People have been doing it for a long time. However, it’s effectiveness is what the main issue is. You may think that using a simple type of tape on your door will not solve the issue of noise penetrating through. Well, you are wrong. If it was a few years back, then I could have told you to use a simple or normal type of tape for sealing gaps on the door. However, now there are many different types of soundproofing tape out there. Tapes that are very differently made and as they have some very good soundproofing capabilities and are made for that occasion.
